Painter, sculptress Ylva Holländer

Ylva Holländer paints and carves but she always lets the idea to decide the final material.

"I discuss the matters of existence in a playful way and I am open-minded to try different materials. I also take three-dimensional elements in my paintings."

In Porvoo, you can see Ylva Holländer's artwork, that she made together with sculptress Kirsi Kaulanen, in August Eklöf Park on the Western River Bank.

"Nature and art history are my inspiration and my artworks are philosphic reflections."

Ylva Holländer has studied painting and graphics in the Art Academy in 1974-1979. She has had many private exhibitions and taken part in numerous group exhibitions.
