Exhibition: Tove and the Archipelago
Tove Jansson was born on August 9th, 1914. She is known as a painter, writer, cartoonist and creator of the Muumin trolls. Tove and artist Tuulikki Pietilä spent almost 30 happy, busy summers on the small, rocky island of Klovharun in Porvoo's archipelago, Pellinki.
The exhibition creates feelings from the archipelago from the past and from today and focuses on how the archpelago and the local culture is visible in her works. The exhibition is part of the national Tove100 festivities.
A small grocery store from the archipelago Söderby-Boden puts up a pop-up store in the exhibition selling products from the archipealago and Moomin-products.
Entrance fee is voluntary. You can make a donation to Unicef in the exhibition. Open every day.
